We help bring back hope in farming by updating the agricultural knowledge of our farmers through the Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan Farmers’ Training Program. Here farmers are taught on effective backyard planting and small-scale farming techniques for fruits and vegetables. This helps improve the quality and quantity of their crops as well as provide organic food for their families. We also assist farmers who form cooperatives by linking them to local markets and SM suppliers for a more stable source of income.
Organic farming system is not new and is being followed from ancient time. It is a method of farming system which primarily aimed at cultivating the land and raising crops in such a way, as to keep the soil alive and in good health by use of organic wastes (crop, animal and farm wastes, aquatic wastes) and other biological materials along with beneficial microbes (biofertilizers) to release nutrients to crops for increased sustainable production in an eco friendly pollution free environment.
Our Objectives of Organic farming :-
1. Promotion of organic farming through technical capacity building of all the stakeholders including human resource development, transfer of technology, promotion and production of quality organic and biological inputs.
2. Awareness creation and publicity through print and electronic media.
3. To act as nodal quality control laboratory for analysis of biofertilizers and organic fertilizers as per the requirement of Fertilizer Control Order.
