Construction Of Toilets
As a part of hygiene and sanitation programme initiative, a project namely SWACHH SAFAR was launched in reporting year of 2015-16 for improving the sanitation and hygiene conditions of four inter colleges and one high secondary schools of Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The project objectives were

  1. To provide long standing support to the sanitation programme through construction of toilets for improve access and use of sanitation facilities in government aided schools of Dankaur block of Gautam Budh Nagar, U.P
  2. Awareness programme for behavioral change of children towards sanitation and hygien


The project was consisting of activities programme on construction of toilets, organizing the awareness building programme, training of teachers and also special training on Menstrual Management behaviour. The project was executed with active participation of school entity in form of their 15% contribution in construction of toilets in the premises of their campus. On other hand, the activities like awareness rally, essay and painting competitions were organized at the schools level. In addition, school committee was formed to monitor the various activities of the project.

Awareness Building
During the 2015-2016, project team members of health programmes have been provided the training programmes for enhancing their knowledge and skills in their respective roles and responsibilities. The details of trainings are given in following manner

Celebration of International Days

During the reporting year, international days have been observed by organizing various activities like awareness building meetings, rally, and street plays. Such days have also been used for advocating the issues, needs and support required for beneficiaries' community. The description of celebration of international days is delineated


Global Female Condom Day

16th September, 2015 was observed as Global Female Condom Day. The purpose of observing this day was to educate and advocacy to spread awareness, access and use of female condoms. CSC has decided to observe the Global Female Condom Day by organizing Support Group Meeting in CSC DIC for a whole day with the theme on Female condom day.


World TB DAY Celebration

WHO is calling on countries and partners to "Unite to End Tuberculosis". Ending TB by 2030 is a target of the SDGs and the goal of the WHO End TB Strategy. It has been indicated that the ending TB will only be achieved with greater collaboration within and across governments, and with partners from civil society, communities, and researchers, the private sector and development agencies.
Care and support, Jalandhar center celebrated World TB Day celebrated with DTO and Akshy Project on 24th March 2016 at Nursing School Civil Hospital Jalandhar. During the programme, Dr. Kailash Kapoor (Civil Surgeon Jalandhar), Dr. Rajiv Sharma (District TB officer),Mr. Mohit Vij (Dist. Coordinator Axshy Project), Mrs. Gurbaksh Kaur (Principal Nursing School) was guest of honors of this event.CSC team also performed a street play on TB on celebration day


Celebration of WOMEN DAY

CSC organized the support group meeting on 8th March for observing the International Women Day .This meeting was chaired by Ms. Gunjan Pandey Rattan, M& E officer, HLFPPT and Mrs. Sunita Gupta HIV/TB Coordinator, HLFPPT. .Mrs. Gunjan motivated to PLHIV women for formulation of Self Help Group.
